arpstorm:
A situation where a single or several clients on a wireless network will submit thousands of ARP requests per second knocking out wireless access points for between 10 and 15 minutes.

The requests are for what could be an invalid router address on the local network.

Devices use the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) to request the MAC address of the destination node, for which it already has the IP address.

A client device which ignores the result and continues requesting the address of a router is performing an intentional, or accidental DoS.
