reset nano iPod when it locks up

Using Your iPod nano
There is a trick to resetting your nano:

  • Reset your iPod nano by toggling the Hold switch on and off (set it to Hold, and then turn it off again).

  • Then press and hold the Center and Menu buttons for at least 6 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Thanks a bunch. Until today I would just wait a day or so for the battery to run down. This is way faster!

Thanks

I just tried this on my 3rd? generation Ipod nana (8gb).
It works, but what I had to do was lock then unlock the ipod. Then do the center/menu hold down as you suggested. It took 10 seconds on mine.

But it worked. (was the order different from your suggestion?)

So thanks!!!
