Microsoft Office: MS PhotoDraw has generated errors
This is an example of a OK piece of software being crippled through neglect! Microsoft's Service Pack 4 for Windows 2000 Professional breaks PhotoDraw so it won't load. The work around includes enabling compatibility mode and changing the shortcut to use Windows 98 as the the mode for PhotoDraw.

Pain in the neck! Good info on activating this feature in the extended entry or follow the link.

check this solution. PROBLEM: In windows 2000 Photo Draw will not start after Windows Service Pack 4 has been loaded. When trying to start Photo Draw a Program Error is created: "PHOTODRW.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You Will need to restart the program."

SOLUTION STEP 1: Enable Compatibility Mode Properties
1.Log on as Administrator or be a member of the
Administrators Group.
2.Click Start, and then click Run.
3.In the Open box, type the following command, and then
click OK, where %SystemRoot% is the drive and folder in
which Windows is installed:
regsvr32 %systemroot%\apppatch\slayerui.dll

STEP 2: Use Compatibility Mode Properties
Administrators can use a program shortcut to set the compatibility mode for a target program. This requires that the Compatibility-mode properties be correctly installed and registered on the computer by using the previous steps. To enable Compatibility mode by using a program shortcut:
1.Log on as Administrator or be a member of the
Administrators Group.
2.Right-click the shortcut, and then click Properties.
3.Click Compatibility. This tab appears only if the
Compatibility-mode interface has been properly enabled on the computer.
4.Click to select the Run in Compatibility Mode check box to enable Compatibility-mode support for the program.
5.Click Windows 98 compatibility mode in the drop-down box.
6.Click OK to save the changes.
7.Double-click the shortcut to run the program.

NOTE: Be careful if you use Compatibility mode to bypass version warnings in Setup or installation programs. Some programs are designed for a specific operating system and intentionally prohibit use on future versions. These are frequently system-level programs that run at a very low
level and have the potential to cause serious problems if installed.
