As strange as it seems, Microsoft chose to release a product that in all appearances cannot be totally uninstalled! I have searched the web several times for a clean method to remove IE6 from my PC without success.
It began with an attack by the worm Blank, in this case msblank.html. Stole my home page. I've tried various means to uninstall but many pieces of the program lay around on the hard drive and most likely in the registry.
The best suggestions I have seen are (1) download Firefox in the interim and (2) wait for a newer version of IE to be deployed.

For some reason I am unable to uninstall my IE 6 using the Add / Remove programs. Each time I do, I am migrated to the window where I am prompted to either Repair or Add a component.
Might someone know how I may go around this problem?
I would be most appreciative ! Thanks !
