Running Lotus Notes and Windows Applications On Linux
CrossOver Office Professional 3.0.1
Review of off the shelf support for windows applications under Linux.
One of the more common questions experienced Linux users get asked by those considering migrating from Windows to Linux is, "Will my Windows applications run under Linux?" Thanks to the folks at CodeWeavers, the answer to that is yes--for some applications, anyway. The company's CrossOver Office lets you run many important Windows applications such as various versions of MS Office, Internet Explorer, and Quicken.

I haven't tried crossover, but I did try Cedega last weekend. Using it with a combination of the Point2Play front-end, it's OK. Not great though. It seems like the guys over at transgaming configure wine for specific games only -- not /all/ games in general. Oh well.. cake/eat ?
BTW, Ken.. I tried emailing you the other week and it got bounced back as undeliverable. Maybe it was just a temporary problem. Can you shoot me off an email when you get a chance?
I am a very very happy user of crossover office for quite some time. there are also lots of "unsupported" windows apps that run fine using crossover office as well. though not everything.
my main usage is to test sites I build in IE while working on linux. And for that it is very good.
