Migrating to Linux Kernel 2.6 in Debian

I think I'll try LFS next. But if you're not that adventuresome, perhaps a kernel upgrade is in your future. Remember test on non-production systems first. YMMV good luck.

  • A system running the unstable version of the Debian GNU/Linux operating system. (I guess you could be using testing and still be able to follow the same procedure given here.)

  • Access the the packages in the repository either through a set of CDs or HTTP or FTP.
