STOP THE MAD COW MADNESS!

Lets go back in time for a minute. We kill a big white Holstein, a good walker. She comes back positive for BSE. The USDA says that it was a downer so we just won't kill any more downers. Oh, except animals injured in transportation. The USDA vet asks the driver why are these cows down? Well Doc they fell down on the way over here. That's fine says Doc. Go ahead. No downers will be killed today. Just some cows who can't get up. The butcher says should we test these downers for BSE? Doc says what downers?

In case you're not keeping track, BSE is related to TSE, is related to CJD is related to VCJD is related to CWD...
