Damn Small Linux, 50 megabytes of penguin power
I need to check this out again.

Damn Small Linux is a business card size (50MB) bootable Live CD Linux distribution. Despite its minuscule size it strives to have a functional and easy to use desktop.

The best part about this is that it excludes many of the things that you don't really need in a portable environment. Anyone who is really trying to get anything accomplished with OpenOffice running in RAM disk is either delusional or has better machines to tinker with than I do.
