SuSE Linux Professional 8.2 for AMD64 Processors Goes Beta

For enterprise applications you can get SuSE Enterprise Server 8 for the AMD64 processors, this is great because it is the workstation distro.

I'd like to point out that SuSE has released a public Beta distribution for AMD64:

Apart from the productive system SuSE GNU/Linux Enterprise Server 8 for
AMD64 with system maintenance under the SuSE GNU/Linux Maintenance
Program, a beta version of SuSE GNU/Linux 8.2 Professional without support
is now available for download as technical preview.

Immediately after the availability of AMD's 64-bit workstation
processor Athlon 64 in autumn, SuSE will present a suitable SuSE GNU/Linux
version.

The ISO images and installation instructions are available on mirrors
of ftp.suse.com or directly at:

ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/x86-64/8.2-beta/
