Need to look at this more...

Sick of looking at those ugly XML DTDs? Or for the more practical-minded - sick of the limitations they impose? Well, you could use XML Schema if you've got a year to spare to learn it, or you can check out DSD 2.0.

I agree that DSD 2.0 allows you to check many more of the validation criteria than DTD does. And it appears to be both easier to learn and more powerful than WWWC's XML Schema.
