AMD Price cuts :: I want a Thoroughbred

AMD cuts Athlon XP prices
Following up to the earlier post on AMD price moves.

According to other sources, AMD cut prices for the Athlon XP 2200 , 2100 , 2000 , 1900 , 1800 and 1700 processors. The Athlon XP 2200 was said to be still priced at over US$100, while the prices of the other five processors fell by as much as about 40% to US$60-90. Prices of the high-end Athlon XP 2400 , 2600 , 2700 and 2800 remained unchanged.

I'm seeing:
XP 2400+ $195
XP 2200+ $145
XP 2100+ $91
XP 2000+ $81
XP 1900+ $74
XP 1800+ $66
From TCWO, which I expect is about as far as they will drop on the street. This month.

If I were going to buy an ECS i-buddie XP Desknote A929 Barbones AMD laptop I would opt for a Thoroughbred processor.
A little faster, a little more performance.
